Males rarely have “Male Confidence”. They wear confidence like women wear make up. It’s not confidence, it’s performance. Because men that don’t wear that ” make-up” are almost universally reviled and spit upon.
That this and other women genuinely believe what she’s saying is on par with men simply believing women wake up each day looking like they were manufactured by an Artporn studio.
Men don’t wake up thinking they’re awesome. You might not know this but men’s testacles don’t actually secrete meth whenever they’re feeling down. A lifetime of knowing that men who are honest about unhappy feelings are endlessly ridiculed for being whiny, weak, and unattractive is incentive enough to keep your mouth shut when feeling anything other than awesome.
Why do men act like people want to hear what I have to say? Because life has taught them that if they don’t speak first, if they aren’t aggressive, competitive and forthright *they won’t be acknowledged at all*.
The irony of the fact that she’s a stand-up comedian, a profession that literally involves people paying you because they want to hear what you have to say, complaining that people only want to listen to men seems to have passed her by.
I would love to have her confidence. Imagine being so convinced that you could speak for another gender that you demanded a stage and microphone to broadcast your idiocy to the world. It’s sad, but when women explain what they imagine men are thinking, people beleive them more than when men actually tell people what they’re thinking.
